Mountainous Merlot 10³ Kanakaris Estate

 

Dry red wine P.G.I. Slopes of Aigialeia Alc. Vol: 13.5%

 

The mountainous Merlot 10³ comes from selected mountainous vineyards from the Slopes of Aigialeia (Protected Geographical Indication), where the wine grapes are ideal for the creation of fresh red wines of Mediterranean style. The low yield and the north-east orientation of the vineyards are important factors for the optimum concentration of the aromatic and tasty substances as well as for the creation of intense color and soft tannins. It is a fresh red wine, with an extremely fruity character and typical – without aging in oak. In the mouth, it is velvety but not heavy, with discrete acidity that gives a special freshness to its finish. Its vinification is based on cold and short-timed extractions that give the wine complexity and aging potential with soft tannins. Finally, the 4-months-long micro-oxygenation completes its taste prolonging a tasteful relish with its opulent and seductive taste. The mountainous Merlot 10³ is a modern and light red wine, full of aromas of small red fruits, herbs, and butter caramel. Zesty and velvety in the mouth, it is an ideal companion for roasted meat, cold cuts, medium-hard yellow cheeses and pasta with light red sauces. From the Greek cuisine, it is a perfect match for ‘ladera’, the casserole dishes that are cooked with vegetables in plenty of olive oil. Enjoy it at 16ºC.

Varietal Composition 70% Agiorgitiko - 30% Mavroudi Alc. Vol: 15.5%

 

Strictly chosen vineyards from the area of Ancient Olympia. Deep red colour. Intense notes of chocolate, coffee, scorched bread, and plum in a rich composition. Mavroudi owes the mouth that starts sweetly, with round, velvety and high quality tannins. The aftertaste is complex, full of long duration

Petriessa Estate - Merlot

 

Dry Red, Merlot, Alc. Vol: 14%

 

The hand-harvested grapes were fermented in 10,000 liter open stainless steel tanks for fifteen days with selected yeasts, at controlled temperatures of 18 to 22°C.

Extended skin maceration followed, for an additional six to eight days. The wine then went through 100% malolactic fermentation, before being aged in 225 liter French Oak barrels, of second and third use for 8 months. Intense aromas of sweet plums are combined with notes of chocolate and vanilla. Opulent flavors of ripe fruits complement the smooth, velvety and balanced palate with a long, mouthwatering finish.

Dry red Grape varieties: Agiorgitiko and Mavroudi Alc. Vol: 12.5%

 

Very careful vinfication of the two grape varieties gives a modern red wine of Mediterranean style.

The wine matures with a number of short micro-oxygenations, a fact that enhances its varietal aromas and its freshness.

A modern and light red wine, full of aromas of small red fruits and red flowers.                      Well-structured and velvety in the mouth.

Varietal RED DRY Wine Merlot 55%, Mavro Kalavritino 45% Alc. Vol: 12%

 

The colour is brilliant, medium-strength violet with pink hues. On the nose it is vivid and intense with aromas of black cherries, blackberries, hints of plums, violets and dried herbs. On the palate it has medium body, moderate acidity with smooth tannins – all in harmony. The aftertaste is moderate. Aging: 2-3 years

Petriessa Estate - Cabernet Sauvignon Rose

 

Dry rose wine 100% Cabernet Sauvignon Alc. Vol: 13%

Exceptionally bright and a light
rosy colour. Lively nose reminiscent primarily of red
fruit like strawberry and cherry, with a hint of lemon
verbena and an almost imperceptible presence of
spices. Elegance and finesse with a refreshing acidity

which balances the alcohol creating a sense of  harmony rounded up with a pleasant fruity finish.

Aging: 2 – 3 years.

ROMAZZA Rose - Semi sweet Kanakaris Estate

 

Semi sweet rose,   Alc. Vol: 11.5%

 

Romazza is a special wine, very aromatic and zesty, medium-sweet with a brilliant crystal rose color. It comes from the co-vinification of the Merlot from the Slopes of Aigialeia with the Muscat of Rio at very low temperatures. In the final blending, we add a small percentage of Muscat de Hambourg. A modern and attractive medium-sweet rose wine, full of intense aromas of cherry and strawberry. In the mouth, it is rich and combines its sweetness harmonically with the freshness of its acidity. An ideal company for Asian dishes and light desserts. Enjoy it at 12ºC.

Varietal ROSE DRY Wine Asyrtiko 55%, Moschofilero 45% Alc. Vol: 11.5%

 

The colour is bright, light cerise with pink hues. Vibrant and clear on the nose, with aromas of ripe cherries, raspberries, hints of flowers and rose petal notes. On the palate it has a medium body, moderately high acidity and the slightest suggestion of very ripe tannins. Flavours are consistent with the aromas, with a light sensation of sweet grass and bubble gum. The finish is moderately long, with developing flavours that lead to complexity. Aging: 2 years

Esperos Orange wine Abelon Estate BIOLOGICAL & VEGAN

 

Dry, Still, Orange, Assyrtiko, Keep for 2-3 years Biological Wine Alc. Vol: 15.5%

 

Its color is light orange with some pink shades. Its aroma is complex with ripe citrus fruits such as citrus and grapefruit, but also orange peels to dominate and be followed by notes of honey, peach and almond. Its taste is rich, with some subtle tannins, acidity that cools and gives nerve, and long aftertaste.

Tinaktorogos single malt Fume It’s a Greek grapes variety old enough to being mentioned by Homer! This special variety produces a transparent white dry wine with opalescence green and yellow sparkles Indigenous to area of Ancient Olympia is cultivated uniquely by Ktima Brintziki for the last 23 years. Matured for 18 to 24 months (depend on the Vintage) in new French barrels, acquired fragrances and flavors that highlight the uniqueness of the variety and gave us an exceptional and rare white wine. A unique characteristic of this variety is that during the flowering period casts many flowers and carries a green harvest. From this unique feature, derives its name. It is a wine with impressive acidity, and such style, that it will definitely charm those who love round white wines with delicate aromas. Lemon Flowers and tropical fruits with a long lasting aftertaste. It goes well with poultry, salads and white cheese. Best to be Served at 10-12° C.

Mountainous Malagouzia 10³ Kanakaris Estate

The mountainous Malagouzia 10³ comes from vineyards of the upper altitudes of the Protected Geographical Indication zone of the Slopes of Aigialeia at 1000 meters. It is a white wine created with a strict selection of the vineyards, the clones of Malagouzia and with no deviation from the opinion and the vision of the winemakers. The vinification is based on skin contact at very low temperatures and with long extraction (36 hours). The aromatic potential of the fine lees is also used, giving intense aromas, complexity and long-lasting taste as well as a rich texture to the wine. The mountainous Malagouzia 10³ is a modern white wine with rich aromas of herbs from the Greek nature, citrus fruits, and exotic fruits. Full-bodied and complex in the mouth, with refreshing acidity. It is an ideal companion of fish, white meat, pasta in white sauces and Asian cuisine. Enjoy it at 12ºC.

GRIS DE MOSCOFILERO Kanakaris Estate

 

White dry wine P.G.I. Peloponnese Vin gris saignee Alc. Vol: 11.5%

 

The GKRI • Gris de Moschofilero is made of the Moschofilero grape variety that is cultivated on the plateaus of Mantineia. Giving the typical characteristics of the variety, this wine also shows a pleasant and different expression of the Moschofilero. The magic of Moschofilero lies in the skins of its grapes. Both the aromas and the color of the variety are hidden in the grape skin. To unfold the typical aroma of the variety in whole, we cool down the grapes and use cold maceration for eight (8) hours followed by a gentle and continual draining of the must. This process enriches the wine also with bronze, metallic nuances. The fermentation at low temperatures of 12-14°C and the stay on fine lees for two months balance the aromatic expression and give unique intensity to it. A modern Moschofilero created with a “traditional” winemaking method. The intense and rich, absolutely typical aroma of rose petals, rose water, white chocolate, balsam grass, lemon balm and white-fleshed fruits while in the mouth it is very full, extremely tasty with very cool acidity. Enjoy it at 12ºC.

Sauvignon Blanc Petriessa Estate

 

Dry white, Sauvignon blanc, Alc. Vol: 12.5%

 

The grapes were pressed with minimal skin contact, to maintain the pure fruit flavours. The requirement is, then to be cool fermented with selected yeasts in stainless steel to retain its freshness and zesty character. A full and crisp wine with intense aromas and flavors of pear and peach, underlying lemongrass and herbal tones. Mouth - watering acidity is balanced by a full flavoured palate that leads to a long lingering finish.

White Dry wine - Ancient Olympia

Varietal Composition 70% Roditis - 30% Malagouzia

 

Produced from grapes of Roditis Fox (Kokkinara) on selected vineyards of the mountainous Ilia was combined with the variety Malagouzia from the BIO vineyards of the estate Brintziki. Was followed the classic white vinification and the fermentation was lasted for 40 days, highlighting the most out of the characteristics of the varieties. Yellow color green apple aromas and bergamot.

NOTOS White Kanakaris Estate

 

Varietal white dry wine NOTOS White is made exclusively from the grape variety Roditis that grows in the semi-mountainous vineyards of the Slopes of Aigialeia. It is a representative and pleasant acquaintance with this grape variety. Crystal light yellow color with a pleasant aroma of citrus fruits and exotic fruits. In the mouth, it is well-structured and refreshing with a pleasant acidity that balances perfectly its mature character. NOTOS White is an ideal partner for summer seafood ‘mezedes’ (small dishes, appetizers), fish, light dishes with chicken and pasta. Enjoy it at 12ºC.

MIKRO VATHI White Petriessa Estate

 

Dry white, Asyrtiko & White Kountoura The grapes were pressed with minimal skin contact, to maintain the pure fruit flavors. The must was then cool fermented with selected yeasts in stainless steel to retain its freshness and zesty character. Lemon color with green tints and aromas of ripe yellow fruits. On the palate is dry with a minerality and refreshing acidity. Aromas of white peach and apricot, reveal the fruity aftertaste.

The famous Greek traditional appellation wine.

We choose to add a very small percentage of the pine's resin in the middle of the alcoholic fermentation,so that only its most delicate aromatic substances are extracted into the wine.

A modern and light white wine, full of aromas of white - fleshed fruits and citrus fruits with the background of the refreshing sense that the pine's resin gives to it.
